About 803 Day

803 Day is designed to create awareness and support for local businesses and organizations while encouraging residents and visitors to get out, get moving, and explore our great city.

The celebration is a play on our area code and the date August 3rd. Many cities have their own representative day, including Atlanta’s 404 Day on April 4th, Miami’s 305 Day on March 5th, and Birmingham’s 205 Day on February 5th. Now the Midlands has 803 Day!

The 2nd annual 803 Day Celebration will be a weekend long experience on August 1-3, 2025.

Connecting Residents + Visitors

Our mission is to provide a safe and fun celebration that creates awareness about all things 803, builds relationships, and supports the community.

Economic Stimulation

Supporting local is a primary focus of the 803 Day celebration. We have so many businesses, public art, historic artifacts, and yummy restaurants that need our support. We encourage everyone to take advantage of the $8.03 specials from participating restaurants and visitors as well as patronize the vendors and exhibitors at the festival.

Healthy Outcomes

The 803 Day festival encourages residents to get out and get moving. Whether you participate in the 5K Run/Walk, citywide scavenger hunt, or festival, some exercise and sunlight is always the best prescription.

Hospitality & Tourism

The community awareness aspect of the 803 Day celebration invites residents and visitors from all over to explore everything the 803 has to offer. They will eat, play, and learn well!
